      BLOOMINGTON — Union laborers who could build a new McLean County wind farm and local landowners who would live near it squared off Wednesday in one of a series of public forums on the proposal.

      A US Appeals Court in Washington DC upheld new Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) rules that improve worker protections against deadly exposure to silica dust. Silica dust is the product of grinding, drilling, abrasive blasting, and milling of substances used by the construction, ship building and maintenance, mining, foundry, and hydraulic fracking industries.

      The Republican tax bill is a job killer. It provides a huge incentive for companies to outsource good-paying American jobs.  As many as 40 million working families will actually see their taxes increase,  while 45% of benefits in the bill will go directly to individuals making more than $500,000.
